Binding public commitments, not wishful thinking.

Artificial intelligence applied to the preparation of high-stakes decisions is a sensitive field. The players in it carry a responsibility toward society that exceeds their mere contractual obligations. This responsibility demands binding public commitments: not corporate communication charters, not pious wishes diluted in annual activity reports, not principles displayed on office walls with no operational translation.

Imagine All The People makes four structural commitments. French and European sovereignty of our infrastructure. Methodological and scientific transparency of our discipline. Ethical responsibility in the use of generative artificial intelligence. ESG commitments covering the environmental, social and governance dimensions. Each of these commitments is publicly documented, contractually enforceable against Imagine All The People, and contestable by any stakeholder who observed a breach.

We answer for these commitments through concrete mechanisms. A company that makes commitments without accountability mechanisms settles into a rhetorical posture with no practical consequence. We document how we account for our commitments: transparency about any breaches, a challenge protocol for stakeholders, permanent dialogue with the bodies that structure our discipline's responsibility.

Finally, we own what remains to be formalized. We are a young company. Some commitments that are structuring for our discipline are not yet fully formalized in our organization. We prefer to say what remains to be done rather than claim an institutional maturity we have not yet reached. This honesty is structurally more reassuring than corporate communication that would mask the incomplete areas.

French and European sovereignty. The infrastructure of Imagine All The People is structurally French and European. Our servers are physically hosted in France. Our capital is majority-held by European players. Our operational governance is exercised from France. Our critical algorithmic processing runs on French and European infrastructure. We are subject neither to the American Cloud Act nor to equivalent non-European regimes. This commitment is documented in detail on the dedicated hosting page and contractually enforceable in our commercial contracts.

Methodological and scientific transparency. We publicly document our discipline in the open scientific channels. Our founding work is published on ArXiv. Our structuring editorial contributions are published in Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence. Our benchmarks are quantified, our calibration protocols are documented, our limits are publicly owned. We refuse the posture of players who build their credibility on methodological opacity. This commitment is documented in detail in the Science section of the site.

Ethical responsibility in the use of generative AI. We structurally refuse malicious uses of our system: deceptive communications, disinformation campaigns, behavioral manipulation, discriminating uses that would produce avoidable social harm. Our synthetic human populations are a listening instrument for decision-makers, not an instrument of influence over real populations. We maintain full traceability of our reasoning to guarantee contestability by independent third parties. This commitment is documented in detail on the ethical governance page.

Environmental, social and governance commitments. We make structuring commitments across the three ESG dimensions. On the environmental dimension: computational sobriety of our infrastructure, measurement and progressive reduction of our carbon footprint, choice of energy providers compatible with our climate commitments. On the social dimension: fair treatment of teams, transparent pay scales, gender balance, refusal of toxic management practices. On the governance dimension: French and European capital independence, transparency of structuring decisions, opening of a formalized dialogue with external stakeholders. These ESG commitments are progressive: we formalize them at the pace of the company's institutional maturity.

Detailed public documentation. Each of our structuring commitments is publicly documented on the site's pages: the dedicated hosting page for sovereignty, the Science section for methodological transparency, the ethical governance page for ethical responsibility, this page for the ESG commitments. This documentation is not decorative: it serves as the reference against which our practices can be assessed by our clients, partners, employees, supervisory authorities, sector journalists and watchdog associations. It is updated whenever our practices structurally evolve.

Open challenge by stakeholders. We structurally accept the challenge of our commitments by any stakeholder who observed a breach: clients, partners, employees, journalists, associations, independent researchers. We respond publicly to documented challenges, examine reported breaches, and correct practices that would not conform to our displayed commitments. External audit by independent third parties. At the request of a large-account client, a sector supervisory authority or an audit firm commissioned by a third party, we accept having our practices audited against our displayed commitments. This audit can be conducted under a non-disclosure agreement and covers all the concrete mechanisms that embody our commitments: infrastructure, operational protocols, internal procedures, structuring decisions. We refuse to evade this type of audit when it is legitimately requested: this acceptance is a structural commitment of our discipline.

These three concrete mechanisms, public documentation, open challenge, external audit, establish the effective accountability of our commitments. Without them, the displayed commitments would remain rhetorical. With them, they become enforceable references against which we can be publicly assessed.

Imagine All The People is a young company. Some commitments that are structuring for our discipline are not yet fully formalized in our organization. This page publicly owns what remains to be formalized: because masking those incomplete areas would be less reassuring than owned honesty.

Formalizing our ethics committee. Our structuring ethical decisions are currently carried by our leadership and our senior scientific team. A formalized ethics committee, with independent external members, documented internal rules and veto power over projects raising major ethical stakes, remains to be set up. We commit to formalizing this committee in the coming years, at the pace of the company's institutional maturity. Preparatory work is underway to identify the external figures who could join it.

Exhaustively documenting our environmental footprint. Our environmental commitments deserve to be documented by an exhaustive measurement of our carbon footprint: computing infrastructure, team travel, external purchasing, the full lifecycle of our deliverables. Such exhaustive measurement is complex for a company of our size and stage. It will be formalized progressively, with the goal of a first quantified publication in the coming fiscal years.

Formalizing our dialogue with the European AI regulatory bodies. Our position under the EU AI Act is currently carried by our scientific team and our leadership. A formalized framework for dialogue with the European regulatory bodies, the French CNIL for data protection, sector supervisory authorities for the regulated sectors we serve, the European bodies that structure the application of the AI Act, remains to be set up. That dialogue will be formalized at the pace of the real needs our clients and our discipline impose.

Progressively opening a dialogue with external stakeholders. Our ESG commitments on the governance dimension provide for the opening of a formalized dialogue with our external stakeholders: representatives of the synthetically modeled populations through AI watchdog associations, independent academic researchers, sector journalists. That framework remains to be formalized. It will be put in place progressively over the coming years.

Making binding public commitments is only the first step. Accounting for them over time is what makes them structurally credible. We adopt three concrete principles for that accountability.

Owned transparency about any breaches. We publicly document proven breaches of our commitments: significant operational incidents, observed gaps between our practices and our commitments, corrections made following legitimate challenges. This transparency about our possible breaches is structurally more reassuring than corporate communication claiming illusory perfection. A documented and corrected breach is the sign of mature governance: not an admission of weakness.

Permanent dialogue with stakeholders. We maintain permanent dialogue with the stakeholders who engage with our discipline: academic researchers working on the ethical stakes of generative AI, sector journalists documenting the uses of our discipline, AI watchdog associations. That dialogue can take the form of confidential bilateral exchanges, participation in public conferences, or contributions to the public debate on our discipline's structuring stakes. It is carried mainly by our scientific team and our leadership.

Progressive evolution of our commitments. Our commitments are not frozen. They will evolve at the pace of the company's institutional maturity, the requirements of our large-account clients, European regulatory developments, and the structural expectations of our ecosystem. This page will be updated as our commitments strengthen or sharpen. A log of structural changes will be available to trace how our commitments evolve over time: because saying what has changed matters as much as saying what is committed today.
